Education, Youth and Information Minister, Senator the Hon. Ruel Reid, has lauded Western Carolina University for its long and distinguished service to Jamaica’s education sector.

Early childhood education teachers are to benefit from a further 15 percent increase in salary this year. State Minister of Education, Youth and Information, Hon. Floyd Green, who made the announcement today (May 11), said the pay rise was approved by Cabinet in April. He noted that the teachers have benefitted from increases of similar amounts over the last two years.

Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, Hon. Floyd Green, is encouraging more private sector entities to become actively involved in early childhood education.
