DARLISTON, Westmoreland - The Darliston Police in Westmoreland have embarked on an initiative called “Adopt a School Programme” aimed at instilling discipline in the minds of students within that community.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information is partnering with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to ensure that students in sections of western Kingston can attend school safely.

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information has trained a total of 1,400 persons in school safety and security techniques, through its School-wide Positive Behaviour Intervention Support (SWPBIS) programme.

The Office of the Children’s Registry (OCR) is reporting a 90 percent recovery rate for missing children over the past three years, through the Ananda Alert System.
