Education Minister Senator Ruel Reid says the Government plans to spend $2.1 billion over the next three years to facilitate the second phase of the Tablets in Schools programme.

The Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology (MSET) has awarded more than $100,000 in cash to 15 Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT), Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) students.

The Government’s national cybersecurity public-education and -awareness campaign is being funded at a cost of over $15 million by the Jamaica Bankers Association (JBA).
