Gov’t to Invest $20 Million in Sixth-Form Block at Mount St. Joseph High

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Information will be investing $20 million in the construction of a sixth-form block at the Mount St. Joseph Catholic High School in Manchester. The project will include classrooms, science laboratories, two visual arts rooms and space for students who are pursuing courses in engineering, auto mechanics and technical drawing.

Senate Approves Bill for CMI to Become a University

The Caribbean Maritime Institute (CMI) will now gain university status, following the passage of legislation in both Houses of Parliament to effect this. The Senate on Friday (February 24) approved the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) Bill 2017, with 26 amendments.
